Retirement Plans. The firm reviews 401(k), 403(b), 457, profit sharing and defined benefit pension plans. Communications to employees with regard to such plans such as summary plan descriptions are prepared or advice on reporting and disclosure and on compliance matters is provided.
Welfare Benefit Plans. The firm provides compliance guidance on the requirements of various health laws such as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("PPACA"), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountabilitly Act ("HIPAA"), the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 ("COBRA") as well as ERISA requirements for all tyoes of welfare benefit plans.
Employment Law. Advice is given on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act ("ADEA"), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Projects include but are not limited to preparing employee handbooks and management employment policies.
